Program

 

Day 1
Arrive at the villa and settle in. Enjoy a welcome cocktail as you meet your fellow artists, followed by check-in and a special welcome dinner.

Day 2
Begin your first art class, split into two sessions: morning and afternoon. Start with an portrait anatomy lesson, learn tricks and tips to achieve a perfect preparation drawing. Dive into the basics of watercolor with a focus on texture, layering, and composition, exploring initial possibilities.

Day 3
In the morning, continue with your art class, learning techniques for blending colors and experimenting with loose, abstract floral sketches. In the afternoon, start planning your next piece, creating a composition and developing your ideas. Create your first abstract colorful portrait.

Day 4
Head out for a day trip to nearby Syracuse and Ortigia, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Explore the historic city, enjoy lunch at a traditional restaurant, and wander the charming streets along the sea.

Day 5
Spend the day at the villa with focused art sessions in the morning and afternoon, where you’ll refine your watercolor technique by practicing realistic portrait painting. Later, to refresh your mind, join a hands-on cooking class where you’ll learn to make fresh pasta the authentic Italian way.

Day 6
Begin your day with an art class, creating your own composition by blending abstract/realistic portraits with natural elements. Learn to follow the inspiration creating a fast watercolor painting. After lunch at the villa, set out for an afternoon trip to Noto, the baroque capital of Italy, known for its stunning architecture and vibrant atmosphere.

Day 7
Dedicate the day to exploring the creative freedom of watercolor in morning and afternoon sessions. Celebrate your week’s work and enjoy a farewell dinner together.

Day 8
Check out and transfer to the airport for departure.
